The moment has arrived: the Friends & Family Event is taking place.
Your work schedule is ready, and everyone knows their role – but in practice, things often go a bit differently than planned. That’s okay. If you stay friendly, helpful, and solution-focused, everything usually works out fine.
What you need to know before you start
During the event, you show what you can do. That’s why you will collect proof of your own contribution. Part of this you do yourself; another part will be filled in by your teacher or assessor.
Look carefully at your team’s work schedule with all tasks and responsibilities.
That is your starting point for what you will do during the event.
💡 About the Evidence Appendix
The Evidence Appendix is a folder on your computer where you collect all your evidence.
Examples of evidence are photos, observation reports, and the completed assessment form (Witness Statement).
This shows what you did during the event and how you contributed to the team.
Why this task is important
With this task, you show what you can do in real practice. You practise professional behaviour: teamwork, taking initiative, and dealing with unexpected situations.
The evidence you collect shows that you can not only plan but also carry out tasks — a key skill in every profession.
